About Project

The overall objective of the Project is to contribute to smart, sustainable and inclusive growth for Serbia by building a more knowledgeable and skilled labor force, promoting social inclusion of vulnerable populations and enabling greater opportunities for a better standard of working and living in alignment with the targets set forth by the Europe 2020 Strategy. 

What is the project about?

The Project will contribute to the implementation of the National Employment Strategy for the period 2011-2020 and the respective annual National Employment Action Plans, through the support of horizontal and targeted sector-based areas related to promotion of employment activities with special focus to professionally and socially vulnerable groups (focusing on: unemployed persons with knowledge and skills that are not in demand by employers, persons made redundant in the public sector and persons with disabilities).

Specific objectives of the project

  • to reduce labor market skills mismatches
  • to improve NES existing training system
  • to improve the impact of employment measures and services tailored to the needs of persons with disabilities

Expected results

  1. skills gaps identified/tackled and quality of NES training programs improved
  2. process of training organization in NES improved
  3. improved employment services and measures to PWDs delivered by NES
  4. improved quality of vocational rehabilitation and training in enterprises for vocational rehabilitation and employment of PWDs
  5. technical assistance to NES and MoLEVSA in the effective management and monitoring of IPA 2014 Direct grand to NES provide
